Terms of Service
Effective date: 24 August 2026
These terms govern your use of SheetForge Web (web.sheetforge.workers.dev) and this documentation site. By using them you agree to these terms. The SheetForge Unity asset itself is licensed separately under the Unity Asset Store End User License Agreement — these terms do not replace or modify that license.
The service
SheetForge Web is a free browser tool for viewing and editing sheet data, provided as a companion to the SheetForge Unity asset. It requires no account for local files; connecting Google Sheets is optional and uses your own Google account.
Your content
The data you load or edit remains yours. You are responsible for having the rights to the data you work with and for the changes you push to your own spreadsheets. The app writes only where you explicitly tell it to.
License and intellectual property
The service — including the SheetForge WebAssembly engine it delivers to your browser, its interface, and this documentation — is protected by copyright and remains the property of its developer (open-source components it builds on, such as the .NET runtime, remain under their own licences, and third-party plugins remain their authors’ code, as described below). You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to run these components in your browser as part of using the service, and no other rights. Except where applicable law permits it, you may not copy, extract, redistribute, sell, sublicense, modify, decompile, or reverse-engineer the service’s software components, and you may not take the WebAssembly engine or other service components for use outside the service or as the basis of another product. Doing so breaches these terms and may infringe copyright, and we reserve all rights and remedies available under applicable law. Rights to the SheetForge Unity asset are granted separately under the Unity Asset Store EULA.
Google services
When you sign in with Google you authorise the app to act on your spreadsheets at your direction, and your use of those Google services remains subject to Google’s own terms. You can revoke this access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. If you connect with a service-account key file instead, the key is used inside your browser and is never sent to us; you are responsible for that key, for the access it grants, and for the device on which you choose to remember it — the Forget key button removes a remembered key from that device.
Plugins
The built-in market installs plugins whose files are integrity-checked against pinned checksums before loading; the plugins themselves remain their authors’ code, provided under their own terms. You may also load your own plugin files; anything you sideload runs inside your browser session under your responsibility — review code you compile and load, just as you would in a Unity project.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to break the law, to infringe others’ rights, or to disrupt or overload the service or the third-party services it connects to.
Warranty and liability
The service is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, or limits the statutory rights of consumers where such rights apply.
Changes and availability
We may change, suspend, or discontinue the service, and may update these terms by publishing a new version at this address with an updated effective date. We may restrict use that violates these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
